Looking For A Title Of An Older Movie?

I can’t remember who it starts, but it is about two people who die, but before they can make it to heaven they have to sit with an “attorney” to review their lives on a screen. The women was a good person so everything she saw was positive, but the man wasn’t a very positive person when he was living so he always go bad news. They would ride places on a trolley of some sort and wore white robes. Could someone please help me. I really liked the movie, but never see it on TV because it is kind of old.
Thanks,

  1. Defending your Life.
a FABULOUS movie … especially at the end. Makes you take a little stock in your own life (I think).
Stars Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep.
Summary: All of your life is on videotape — or perhaps laser disk — to make it easier on your prosecutor and defense attorney at Judgement City to randomly access a few episodes to show whether you made the most of the life you just completed. If you didn’t make the most of that life, you will be sent back to try again and again until you do get it right. And the court must be taking an advance peek at that life tape.

  2. Just like they said:
“DEFENDING YOUR LIFE” it’s a 1991 movie, Written, Directed and starred by Albert Brooks as Daniel Miller along side Meryl Streep as Julia.
If you’re into this kind of movie you might like another movie that is similar with the theme:
“Heaven Can Wait” by Warren Beatty with Julie Christie and,
“Chances Are” with Cybill shepherd, Ryan O’Neal, Robert Downey and Mary Stuart Masterson.

  4. Defending Your Life
with Meryl Streep and Albert Brooks
I’m not usually that fond of Albert Brooks, but he was pretty good in this one, and Broadcast News.

  5. Sounds like a Christmas movie. Was Micheal Keaton in it?
