That’s not the question.
The real question is how many cancer victims will die because of it?
How many people will not be denied but will die on a waiting list as they are in Canada and Great Britain?
How much will our taxes be raised to fund it?

You equate having health care and long life. I on the other hand know that the number one cause of death in the US is doctors and hospitals, look it up. The reason our health care cost are the highest and our longevity is number 47, is our reliance on drugs that only work in the studies paid for by the inventor. Figures don’t lie, but liars figure. Every drug has side effects, and the side effects of one drug always leads to one or more new prescriptions. There will be NO cost savings from “preventative medicine”, only more procedures and more drugs, and more drugs, etc.
Think I am crazy? I was on 10 prescriptions costing my insurance $600 a month. And I am 53 and in good health, over weight but very healthy. Now I quit all medications, eat a whole foods diet, high in FAT and low in carbohydrates, and never plan on seeing a doctor until I am dieing.
Crazy you say?
Pharmacist who’s life was almost ruined by Lipitor
People without health care still get treated at county hospitals every day. It is against the law to not treat them> that is why health care cost are so high for those of us with health care, we pick up the cost. So where do you come up with your question? Do you have health care?
According to a recent Harvard study, 45,000 Americans die each year due to lack of affordable health care and the lack of life saving treatments:http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNew…
Fact is more people will die if we get the gov’t option, because some of the liberals have already said that benefits will have to be limited. Read the hand writing on the wall, because once we get it we are stuck with it.
Not as many as will die after reform takes effect, IF it takes effect.
The motto of the reform: “Low quality health care for all! Equal treatment for none!”
More people will die from bad reactions to drugs, infections caught in hospitals, and an expectation that doctors will rescue them after they have not taken proper care of their bodies.
If those people would stop drinking booze and smoking cigarettes and stop using illegal substances a lot fewer would die.
What I find interesting, is that Liberals seem to think if you have Health Insurance, you won’t die.
Me for sure.
One is to many.
