The only way to get over your anxiety is to face it and find a way to deal or accept it – whether you can change it or not. If you get nervous around crowds, go into the store, sit in a chair somewhere and just observe. Breathe soft and slow and find a way to get through the sounds, crowds, etc…
Every time you avoid people, situations, etc….you are making yourself more sensitized to it and therefore it gets even worse the next time you are faced with it.
Make sure you are current on your medication and take it the way it is prescribed.
Next, find a different doctor. Keep switching doctors until you find one that CAN and WILL help.
Write down a list of things – how you feel, what you want, what bothers you, etc….Then bring it to him and TALK to him about it. If he doesn’t listen or walks away, tell him that you need help, or you will go somewhere else and contact the medical group, insurance company and file a complaint of negligence.
Then walk out and call a new doctor to make an appointment.
In every negative situation, you need to find SOMETHING positive. Don’t think of a situation as a whole piece – break it up and take small steps, one a time and experience things as you are ready.
Can you find a friend to help drive you? The bus? Taxi?

Get a new doctor as soon as possible. If you can’t, do some research online or in a book about questions you may be having. Tell your dr. about what you found. Tell your dr. how you feel.
